Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Pharmacist role based in Jabalpur. The Senior Pharmacist will oversee daily pharmacy operations, including dispensing medications, verifying prescriptions, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include supervising pharmacy staff, managing inventory and stock levels, and maintaining accurate records and documentation. The role involves counseling patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and drug interactions, and coordinating with prescribers to clarify prescriptions and optimize therapy. The Senior Pharmacist will also help implement standard operating procedures, support quality assurance initiatives, and contribute to training and development of junior team members.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, prescription verification, drug interactions, and medication safety.
- Experience in pharmacy operations, including dispensing, inventory management, and record-keeping.
- Ability to supervise and mentor pharmacy staff, with effective team leadership and collaboration skills.
- Excellent patient counseling, communication, and customer service abilities.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and commitment to regulatory and ethical compliance.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and basic computer applications.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm/M.Pharm) from a recognized institution.
- Valid pharmacist registration/license as per applicable state and national regulations.
- Prior experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy in a senior or supervisory role is highly beneficial.
